Informed Consent: Information about your use of this software will be recorded, but any information about your performance will remain confidential. The information recorded documents the activities you choose to participate in and when you engage in these activities. Your identification number is associated with a record of the notes you review and the dates on which you viewed or listened to these notes. Clicking the button above and moving beyond this point indicates that you understand and accept these conditions. You are under no obligation to use these resources and there is no penalty if you decide not to participate.
Research associated with the use of these resources is intended to better understand limitations in student note-taking and the consequences of making various types of lecture resources available to students. Once the semester is completed, data associated with student use of the study system is removed from the server and stored for archival purposes in a locked cabinet. The only concern that has been raised about this type of research is that some students may use online resources rather than attend class. It is not my intent that you use these online resources as a substitute for class attendance. If you have questions about this agreement or do not fully understand any part of the agreement, please write to the On-line Study Tools Project Coordinator Mark Grabe (mark_grabe@und.nodak.edu). Concerns regarding this research can be directed to Mark Grabe or the Psychology Department Chair (jeffrey.weatherly@und.nodak.edu).
